ANNOUNCEMENT:
Who could've known 5.5 years ago how wonderful this organization would've been over the years. Who could've known that over $37,000.00 would have been given to families in need of financial assistance - to obtain the care they needed while getting answers to Chiari Malformation! That over $2,200.00 would be given to Chiari Kids for college scholarships. Additionally, over $4,500.00 would be given back to St. Johns Children's Hospital and St. Louis Children's Hospital to help Chiari families there, money was also sent for Chiari Malformation research. Who could've known? God knew! He set us on a path to help others and that is what we did! We answered the calling and now the time has come to move on to the next chapter.
With full hearts and gratitude, the board made a decision to dissolve the organization, effective December 31, 2020. THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone that has supported the organization in the past 5.5 years! This couldn't have been possible without your support.
THANK YOU for supporting the Gala's for 5 years - whether that was buying tickets to attend, bidding on auction items, donating items to auction off, or volunteering your time and services to make it a successful evening!
THANK YOU to those that supported all our smaller but mighty fundraisers along the way - paint nights, string art events, rummage/bake sales, Mommy & Me events, T-shirt fundraisers, etc. - ALL those fundraisers added up and helped support the cause!!
THANK YOU to anyone that has ever shared our posts to get the information and knowledge out for others to hear about Chiari Malformation.
THANK YOU to the board of directors and organization team members for all your hard work. Showing up to monthly meetings for the past 5.5 years. Planning, organizing, and assisting with all the fundraisers - making each one a huge success! I couldn't be more proud of you all!! I am forever grateful for each and every one of you and what skills you brought to the table! Anyone would be lucky to have you all on their team!
Thankful beyond words for the families we've met along the way and the lasting friendships that were formed because of it. God places people in your life, whether for a season or a lifetime, that leave a lasting impression on your heart and soul!
5.5 years ago I was just a Mom, feeling helpless and lonely because Chiari Malformation was a new household word that we knew very little about - except what horrible repercussions it had on my child. And I didn't know anyone that had been through the struggles to get answers or support from. I knew there was something more that had to be done to spread the word on the brain disorder but furthermore, help families that were struggling to get the answers they needed while being a support system for them. Little did I know that God would take that and run with it the way He did! He knew all along how well this was going to play out. HE IS ABLE!!! Always. Period. Amen.
